NAD+ Injections
Cellular energy support, delivered to your door
NAD+ is a natural coenzyme found in every cell of your body. At IRISIV, a registered nurse comes to your home, office, or hotel and gives your NAD+ injection. It takes just a few minutes.
What is NAD+?
NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide) is related to vitamin B3. Your cells use it to:
-
Make energy: NAD+ helps your mitochondria, your cells' "power plants," turn the food you eat into usable energy.
-
Repair and protect: NAD+ fuels enzymes that help repair DNA and manage how cells respond to stress.
-
Communicate: it supports the signaling that keeps cells working the way they should.
Why do NAD+ levels matter?
Your body makes less NAD+ as you get older. By middle age, some tissues may have about half the NAD+ they had in youth. Stress, poor sleep, and demanding schedules may also wear on your cells' energy systems. An NAD+ injection gives your body an extra supply of this coenzyme.
What people use NAD+ for
-
Everyday energy and feeling less run-down
-
Mental clarity and focus
-
Healthy aging
-
Overall cellular wellness
NAD+ is a newer wellness therapy, and research in people is still growing. Results vary from person to person. NAD+ is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
How it's given
At IRISIV, NAD+ is given only as an intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SQ) injection: a small shot into the muscle or subcutaneous tissue of your upper arm, abdomen, or thigh. A registered nurse gives every injection. The visit is quick, there's no IV line, and you can get right back to your day.
Your provider will recommend a dose and schedule based on your goals and how your body responds. Many clients start at a lower dose and adjust from there.

Is NAD+ right for me?
NAD+ is generally well tolerated, but it isn't right for everyone. You'll complete a Good Faith Exam with a licensed provider before your first injection. NAD+ is not recommended if you:
-
Are pregnant or breastfeeding
-
Have had an allergic reaction to NAD+ or niacinamide (vitamin B3) products
-
Have active cancer or a history of cancer, unless your oncologist clears you
-
Have serious liver or kidney disease, unstable heart disease, or another significant chronic illness
Please tell us about all medications, supplements, and herbs you take. No major drug interactions are known, but your provider still needs the full picture.
Possible side effects
Most people tolerate NAD+ injections well. NAD+ is a molecule your body already makes, so side effects are usually mild and short-lived.
Common, temporary effects:
-
Injection site reactions such as redness, tenderness, or brief burning or stinging. These usually go away quickly.
-
Flushing or a feeling of warmth
-
Mild fatigue, headache, or lightheadedness
-
Nausea
-
Occasional stomach upset or loose stools
Less common:
-
Mild dizziness or chest tightness. If this happens, tell your nurse right away.
Rare but serious:
-
Allergic reactions are extremely rare. Get medical help right away if you have a rash, hives, itching, swelling of the face, lips, or throat, or trouble breathing.
-
As with any injection, infection at the injection site is possible. Our nurses use sterile technique to keep this risk very low. Call us if the area gets warm, more painful, swollen, or starts draining.
